ἐβόησεν ἀνὴρ Εφραιμ καὶ παρῆλθαν εἰς βορρᾶν καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς Ιεφθαε διὰ τί παρῆλθες παρατάξασθαι ἐν υἱοῖς Αμμων καὶ ἡμᾶς οὐ κέκληκας πορευθῆναι μετὰ σοῦ τὸν οἶκόν σου ἐμπρήσομεν ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν πυρί καὶ συνήχθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Εφραιμ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Σεφινα καὶ εἶπον πρὸς Ιεφθαε τί ὅτι ἐπορεύθης πολεμεῖν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Αμμων καὶ ἡμᾶς οὐ κέκληκας πορευθῆναι μετὰ σοῦ τὸν οἶκόν σου ἐμπρήσομεν ἐν πυρί

And the sons of Ephraim gathered together and came to Sephina and said to Jephthae, Why is it that you went to make war against the sons of Ammon and did not call us to go with you? We will burn your house with fire.

And Jephthah said to them, I was a man contending, I and my people, and the sons of Ammon humbled me greatly, and I cried out to you, and you did not save me out of their hand.

And I saw that there was no one saving, and I put my life in my hand, and I crossed over to the sons of Ammon, and the Lord gave them into my hand; and why did you go up to me on this day to fight against me?

And Jephthah gathered all the men of Gilead and fought against Ephraim, and the men of Gilead struck Ephraim, because the escaped men of Ephraim said, You are Gilead in the midst of Ephraim and in the midst of Manasseh.

And the men of Gilead seized the crossings of the Jordan of Ephraim, and it happened that when the survivors of Ephraim said, Let us cross over, the men of Gilead said to them, Are you not from Ephraim? And they said, We are not.

And they said to them, Say now the password; and they did not manage to speak so, and they seized them and slaughtered them at the crossings of the Jordan. And there fell from Ephraim at that time forty-two thousand.

And Jephthae judged Israel six years, and Jephthae the Gileadite died and was buried in his city, Gilead.

ἔκρινεν μετ᾿ αὐτὸν τὸν Ισραηλ Αβαισαν ἀπὸ Βαιθλεεμ καὶ ἔκρινεν μετ᾿ αὐτὸν τὸν Ισραηλ Εσεβων ἐκ Βαιθλεεμ

And after him He judged Israel, Ibzan from Bethlehem.

And there were to him thirty sons and thirty daughters, sent out abroad, and he brought in for his sons thirty wives from outside, and he judged Israel seven years.

ἀπέθανεν Αβαισαν καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν Βαιθλεεμ καὶ ἀπέθανεν Εσεβων καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν Βηθλεεμ

And Esebōn died and was buried in Bethlehem.

And after him Elon the Zebulunite judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years.

12

And Elon the Zebulunite died in Aijalon, and they buried him in the land of Zebulun

13

And after him Labdon son of Sellem the Pharathonite judged Israel.

14

And there came to be to him forty sons and thirty sons of his sons, riding on seventy colts; and he judged Israel eight years.

15

And Labdon son of Sellēm the Pharathonite died, and he was buried in Pharathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mountain of Lanak.
