Behold, I send out my messenger, and he will look after a way before my face, and suddenly the Lord whom you seek will come into his temple, and the messenger of the covenant whom you want; behold, he is coming, says the Lord Almighty

And who will endure the day of his entrance, or who will stand in his appearance? For he enters as a refiner’s fire and as lye of washers.

And he will sit as a smelter and as a purifier of silver and as of gold, and he will purify the sons of Levi and will pour them out as gold and as silver, and they shall be to the Lord bringing an offering in righteousness

And the sacrifice of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord, as in the days of old and as in the former years.

And I will bring near to you in judgment, and I will be a swift witness against the sorceresses and against the adulteresses and against those who swear by my name for falsehood and against those who deprive the wages of a hired worker and those who oppress a widow and those who strike orphans and those who turn aside the judgment of a sojourner and those who do not fear me, says the Lord Almighty

For I am the Lord your God, and I have not changed; and you, sons of Jacob, do not cease.

From the iniquities of your fathers you have turned aside my ordinances and you have not kept them. Turn to me, and I will turn to you, says the Lord Almighty. And you said, In what shall we turn?

Will a man rob God? For you are robbing me. And you say, In what have we robbed you? Because the tithes and the firstfruits are with you.

And by looking away you are looking away, and me you are tripping up; the nation has been finished

And bring all the tithes into the storehouses, and there will be plunder in his house. Test me now in this, says the Lord Almighty, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you my blessing until it is sufficient.

And I will set apart for you for food, and I will by no means destroy the fruit of your land, and your vine in the field shall by no means fail, says the Lord Almighty

And all the nations shall call you blessed, because you shall be a desirable land, says the Lord Almighty

You have made your words heavy against me, says the Lord, and you said, In what have we spoken against you?

You have said, It is vain to serve God, and what more is it that we have kept his ordinances, and that we have walked as suppliants before the face of the Lord Almighty?

And now we bless strangers, and all who do lawless things are being built up, and they opposed God, and they were saved

Then those who feared the Lord spoke these things each to his neighbor, and the Lord paid attention and heard, and he wrote a book of remembrance before him for those who feared the Lord and reverenced his name

And they shall be to me, says the Lord Almighty, for the day which I am making, for a possession; and I will choose them in the way that a man chooses his son who is serving him.

And you shall return and see between the righteous and between the lawless, and between the one serving God and the one not serving him

For behold, the day of the Lord is coming, burning like a furnace, and it will burn them up, and all the foreigners and all who do lawless things will be stubble, and the coming day will set them ablaze, says the Lord Almighty, and there will not be left of them root nor branch.

And a sun of righteousness will rise for you who fear my name, and healing in his wings; and you will go out and leap like calves released from bonds

And you shall trample the lawless, because they shall be ashes underneath your feet on the day on which I am doing this, says the Lord Almighty

And behold, I am sending to you Elijah the Tishbite before the day of the Lord comes, the great and manifest one

who will restore the heart of father to son and the heart of a man to his neighbor, lest I come and strike the land utterly

Remember the law of Moses my servant, as I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, statutes and ordinances.
