And he will say, Hear now these things, O rulers of the house of Jacob and the remnant of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know the judgment?

those hating the good and seeking the evil, tearing away their skin from them and their flesh from their bones

who have devoured the flesh of my people and have flayed their skins from their bones and have broken their bones in pieces and have chopped them up as flesh into a pot and as meat into a cauldron

Thus they shall cry out to the Lord, and he will not listen to them, and he will turn his face away from them in that time, because they acted wickedly in their practices against them.

Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead astray my people, who bite with their teeth and proclaim peace over him, and it was not put into their mouth: they have stirred up war against him.

Therefore night shall be for you from vision, and darkness shall be for you from divination, and the sun shall set upon the prophets, and the day shall grow dark over them.

And the ones who see the dreams will be put to shame, and the diviners will be laughed at, and all of them will speak against them, because there will be no one listening to them.

But as for me, I am full of power with the Spirit of the Lord and of judgment and might, to declare to Jacob his transgressions and to Israel his sins

Hear now these things, you leaders of the house of Jacob and the remnant of the house of Israel, who abhor justice and twist all that is straight

those who build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with injustices

Her rulers judged with gifts, and her priests answered with a wage, and her prophets divined with silver, and they rested upon the Lord, saying, Is not the Lord among us? Evil shall not come upon us.

Therefore, because of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall be as a fruit-keep, and the mountain of the house as a grove of a forest
