And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the second year after their coming out from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying

Speak, and let the sons of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time.

On the fourteenth day of the first month, at evening, you shall make it, at its appointed times, according to its law and according to its ordinance you shall make it.

And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel to keep the Passover.

And it began on the fourteenth day of the month in the wilderness of Sinai; as the Lord commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel did.

And the men came who were unclean because of a human corpse, and they were not able to keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

And those men said to him, We are unclean because of a dead body of a man; then should we be deprived from bringing the gift to the Lord at its appointed time among the sons of Israel?

And Moses said to them, Stand here, and I will hear what the Lord commands concerning you.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying

Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: Any man, any man who shall become unclean because of a dead body of a man, or on a journey far from you, or in your generations, and he shall keep the Passover to the Lord.

In the second month, on the fourteenth day, at evening they shall make it; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it

They shall not leave any of it until morning, and they shall not break a bone of it; according to the law of the Passover they shall do it.

And a man who, if he is clean and is not on a long journey, and falls short of making the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from its people, because he did not bring the offering to the Lord at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin.

But if a sojourner comes to you in your land and shall keep the Passover to the Lord according to the law of the Passover and according to its ordinance, he shall keep it; there shall be one law for you and for the sojourner and for the native of the land.

And on the day when the tent was set up, the cloud covered the tent, the house of the testimony, and in the evening it was over the tent like an appearance of fire until morning

Thus it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and a form of fire by night

And whenever the cloud went up from the tent, and after these things the sons of Israel set out, and in the place where the cloud might stand, there the sons of Israel encamped

At the command of the Lord the sons of Israel shall encamp, and at the command of the Lord they shall set out; all the days in which the cloud overshadows over the tent, the sons of Israel shall encamp

And when the cloud lingered over the tent for many days, the sons of Israel kept the charge of God and did not by any means set out.

And it shall be when the cloud overshadows the tabernacle for a number of days, by the command of the Lord they shall encamp, and by the command of the Lord they shall depart.

And it shall be when the cloud becomes from evening until morning, and the cloud rises in the morning, then they shall set out by day or by night.

Whether the cloud remained over it for many days, the sons of Israel would encamp and would not set out.

For by the commandment of the Lord they set out; the watch of the Lord they kept by the commandment of the Lord through the hand of Moses.
