They rose up against Moses and Aaron and said, Let it be enough for you, because all the congregation are all holy, and the Lord is among them; and why do you lift yourselves up over the congregation of the Lord?
And he spoke to Korah and to all his congregation, saying, God has visited and known those who are his and the holy ones, and he has brought them near to himself; and those whom he chose for himself he has brought near to himself.
and put fire on them and put incense on them before the Lord tomorrow, and the man whom the Lord shall choose, he shall be holy. Let it be enough for you, sons of Levi.
Is this too small a thing for you, that God of Israel has separated you from the assembly of Israel and brought you near to himself to minister the services of the tent of the Lord and to stand before the assembly, to serve them?
Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness, that you also rule over us as ruler?
Even if you had brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey and had given us an inheritance of field and vineyards, would you have even cut out the eyes of those men? We do not go up.
And Moses was very grieved and said to the Lord, Do not pay heed to their sacrifice; I have not taken the desire of any one of them, nor have I wronged any of them.
And let each man take his censer, and put incense upon them, and bring before the Lord each man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers, and you and Aaron, each his censer.
And Kore assembled against them his whole congregation at the door of the tent of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.
And they fell on their faces and said, O God, God of the spirits and of all flesh, if one man sinned, is the wrath of the Lord upon all the congregation?
And he spoke to the assembly, saying, Separate yourselves from the tents of these hard men, and do not touch anything that is theirs, lest you be destroyed together in all their sin.
And they departed from the tent of Korah round about; and Dathan and Abiron came out and were standing by the doors of their tents, and their wives and their children and their baggage.
but if the Lord should show by a manifestation, and the earth, opening its mouth, will swallow them and their houses and their tents and all that is theirs, and they shall go down alive into Hades, then you shall know that these men have provoked the Lord.
