I cried out in my affliction to the Lord my God, and he heard me; from the belly of Hades you heard the cry of my voice.
You cast me into the depths of the heart of the sea, and all your currents have surrounded me; all your surging waves passed over me.
And I said, I am thrust away from your sight; shall I again add to look toward your holy temple?
Water was poured around me up to my life; the abyss surrounded me. The last, my head sank into the clefts of the mountains.
I went down into a land whose bars are eternal possessors, and let my life go up from corruption, O Lord, my God
When my soul was failing from me, I remembered the Lord, and may my prayer come to you into your holy temple
Those who guard worthless things and lies have abandoned their mercy.
But I with a voice of praise and confession will sacrifice to you; as many things as I vowed, I will repay to you for my salvation to the Lord.
