The Koine Bible

Do you not proclaim wisdom, so that prudence may obey you?

For she is on the lofty heights, and in the midst of the paths she has stood.

For beside the gates of rulers she sits, and at the entrances she is praised.

To you, O men, I call, and I send forth my voice to sons of men

Understand prudence, O simple ones; and, you inexperienced, put your heart to it.

Listen to me, for I will speak noble things, and from lips I will bring forth upright things.

For my throat will meditate truth, but lying lips are abomination before me

All the sayings of my mouth are with righteousness; nothing in them is crooked or perverse.

All things are plain to those who understand, and right to those who find knowledge.

Receive instruction and not silver, and knowledge rather than proven gold; but choose perception rather than pure gold.

For wisdom is better than precious stones, and every precious thing is not worthy of it

I, wisdom, have dwelt with counsel and knowledge and understanding; I have called upon myself.

The fear of the Lord hates injustice, and arrogance and pride, and I have hated the crooked ways of evils.

Mine is counsel and safety; mine is prudence, and mine is strength.

Through me kings reign, and rulers write righteousness.

Through me princes are made great, and tyrants through me rule the earth.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me will find me

Riches and glory are mine, and acquisition of many things and righteousness.

Better is me than gold and precious stone to be fruitful, and my produce than choice silver.

In ways of righteousness I walk, and among paths of justice I move about.

in order that I may apportion substance to those who love me, and fill their treasuries with good things

The Lord created me as the beginning of his ways for his works

Before the age he founded me in the beginning

Before he made the earth and before he made the abysses, before the fountains of waters came forth

Before the mountains were established, before all the hills, he brings me forth

The Lord made uninhabited regions and inhabited summits under heaven

When he was preparing the heaven, I was beside him, and when he was setting apart his own throne upon the winds

when he made the strong things above, the clouds, and as secure he established the springs under heaven

and he made strong the foundations of the earth

I was beside him, fitting together; I was that in which he rejoiced day by day, and I was delighted in his presence at every time

when he was rejoicing the inhabited world having completed it, and was delighting among the sons of men

And now, O son, listen to me

Blessed is the man who will listen to me, and the man who will guard my ways, watching at my doors day by day, keeping the stations of my entrances.

For my outgoings are outgoings of life, and will is prepared from the Lord.

But those sinning against me are impious against their own lives, and those hating me love death.
