The glory of God hides a matter, but the glory of a king honors matters.
Heaven is high, and earth is deep, and the heart of a king is unsearchable.
Beat off the base silver, and it will be wholly purified.
Kill the ungodly from before the king’s face, and his throne will be established in righteousness.
Do not boast before a king, nor stand in places of rulers.
γάρ σοι τὸ ῥηθῆναι ἀνάβαινε πρός με ἢ ταπεινῶσαί σε ἐν προσώπῳ δυνάστου ἃ εἶδον οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου λέγε
For it is better for you to be said, Come up to me, than to be humbled before the face of a ruler; what your eyes have seen, tell.
Do not rush into a quarrel, lest you regret it at the last, when your friend reproaches you.
Turn away, go behind, do not despise.
σε ὀνειδίσῃ μὲν ὁ φίλος ἡ δὲ μάχη σου καὶ ἡ ἔχθρα οὐκ ἀπέσται ἀλλ᾿ ἔσται σοι ἴση θανάτῳ καὶ φιλία ἐλευθεροῖ ἃς τήρησον σεαυτῷ ἵνα μὴ ἐπονείδιστος γένῃ ἀλλὰ φύλαξον τὰς ὁδούς σου εὐσυναλλάκτως
Let not the friend reproach you, but your battle and your enmity will not cease, but it will be equal to death.

Like the outflow of snow in harvest time against heat, so a faithful messenger benefits those who sent him, for he benefits the lives of those who use him.
Like winds and clouds and very conspicuous rains, so are those who boast over a false gift.
In longsuffering is prosperity for kings, but a gentle tongue crushes bones.
If you have found honey, eat only enough, lest being filled you vomit it up
Rarely bring your foot to your own friend, lest, having been filled, he hate you.
A club and a sword and a sharp arrow, so also a man bearing false witness against his friend.

Like vinegar draws out a corrosion, so a passion, having fallen upon the body, grieves the heart.
