Suddenly a cry of war was heard before me; I said, It will listen to me, because I was filled with righteousness.
I considered in my heart that I was filled with righteousness when I prospered and became abundant in children
Their wealth was spread abroad into all the earth, and their glory to the end of the earth.
They were exalted up to the stars; they said, “We shall by no means fall.”
And they insulted in their good things, and they did not endure.
Their sins were in secret places, and I did not know.
Their lawless deeds defiled the holy things of the Lord with profanation more than the nations before them.
