Hallelujah. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

Let those redeemed by the Lord say it, whom he redeemed from the hand of the enemy

From the lands he gathered them, from east and west and north and sea.

They wandered in the wilderness, in a waterless place; they found no way to an inhabited city.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul in them fainted.

And they cried out to the Lord in their being afflicted, and from their distresses he delivered them

And he led them in a straight way, for them to go to a city of habitation

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his mercies and for his wonders to the sons of men

For he satisfied a empty soul, and a hungry soul he filled with good things.

those sitting in darkness and in a shadow of death, bound in poverty and iron

For they embittered the words of God and provoked the counsel of the Most High.

And their heart was humbled in labors; they were weakened, and there was no one helping.

And they cried out to the Lord in their being distressed, and he saved them from their distresses

And he brought them out from darkness and shadow of death, and their bonds he broke apart

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his mercies and for his wonders to the sons of men

For he crushed bronze gates and broke iron bars

He helped them from the way of their lawlessness, for because of their lawlessnesses they were humbled

Their soul loathed every food, and they drew near to the gates of death

And they cried out to the Lord in their being afflicted, and from their distresses he saved them

He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his mercies and his wonders to the sons of men

And let them sacrifice a sacrifice of praise, and let them proclaim his works with rejoicing

Those who go down to the sea in ships, doing work on many waters

They saw the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep.

He spoke, and a tempest wind stood, and its waves were lifted up

They go up to the heavens and go down to the abysses; their soul melted away in evils.

They were troubled, they were shaken like one who is drunk, and all their wisdom was swallowed up.

And they cried out to the Lord in their being distressed, and he brought them out from their afflictions

And he commanded the storm, and it stood to a breeze, and its waves were hushed.

And they were glad, because they became quiet, and he guided them to the harbor of their desire

Let them confess to the Lord his mercies and his wonders to the sons of men

Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people, and let them praise him in the seat of the elders.

He made rivers into a wilderness and water outlets into thirst.

a fruitful land into saltiness, because of the evil of those dwelling in it

He made a wilderness into pools of waters, and a dry land into outgoings of waters.

And he settled there those who were hungry, and they built a city of habitation.

And they sowed fields and planted vineyards and made fruit of produce

And he blessed them, and they were greatly multiplied, and he did not diminish their cattle.

And they were diminished and were afflicted from oppression of evils and pain.

Contempt was poured out upon rulers, and he caused them to wander in a trackless place and not a way

And he helped the poor man out of poverty, and he set them like flocks of families.

The upright will see and will rejoice, and all lawlessness will stop its mouth.

Who is wise and will keep these things, and they will understand the mercies of the Lord
