You have known my sitting down and my rising up; you have understood my thoughts from far away
You have searched out my path and my line, and you have foreseen all my ways.
For there is not a word in my tongue
Behold, O Lord, you have known all the last things and the ancient things; you formed me and laid your hand upon me.
Your knowledge has been made wonderful beyond me; it has prevailed, I am not able toward it.
Where shall I go from your spirit, and from your face where shall I flee?
If I should go up into heaven, you are there; if I should go down into Hades, you are present.
If I should take up my wings at dawn and dwell at the farthest parts of the sea
For there also your hand will guide me, and your right hand will hold me fast.
and I said, Surely darkness will tread me down, and night will be light around me in my luxury
For darkness will not be darkened from you, and night will be illuminated like day; as its darkness, so also its light.
For you acquired my kidneys, O Lord; you took hold of me from my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to you, because I was made wonderfully in a fearful way; your works are marvelous, and my soul knows very much.
My bone was not hidden from you, which you made in secret, and my substance in the lowest parts of the earth
Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and all shall be written upon your book; they shall be fashioned days, and no one among them.
But to me your friends were exceedingly honored, O God; their chief parts were exceedingly strengthened.
I will count them, and they will be multiplied beyond sand; I awoke, and still I am with you.
If you would kill sinners, O God, men of blood, turn away from me
For you will say in thought, they shall take your cities for vanity.
Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord, and am I not pining away because of your enemies?
I hated them with perfect hatred; they became enemies to me.
Try me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my paths.
And see if there is a way of lawlessness in me, and lead me in an everlasting way.
