Deliver me, O Lord, from an evil man; rescue me from an unjust man.
who devised injustices in heart; all the day they marshaled wars
They sharpened their tongue like a serpent; asps’ poison is under their lips. Selah
Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of a sinner; deliver me from unjust men, who have planned to trip up my steps.
The proud hid a trap for me, and they stretched out cords; snares they set for my feet along the path, a stumbling block for me. Selah
I said to the Lord, My God you are; listen attentively, O Lord, to the voice of my supplication.
O Lord, O Lord, the power of my salvation, you overshadowed over my head in the day of war
Do not hand me over, O Lord, because of my desire, to a sinner; they devised against me. Do not forsake me, lest they be exalted. Selah
The head of their circuit, the labor of their lips, will cover them.
Coals shall fall upon them; in fire you shall cast them down; in miseries they shall by no means stand.
A slanderous man shall not be established on the earth; an unjust man will hunt evils for corruption.
I knew that the Lord will execute the judgment of the poor and the justice of the needy
Nevertheless, the righteous will give thanks to your name, and the upright will dwell with your face.
