Of David, against Goliad. Blessed be the Lord my God, who teaches my hands for battle array, my fingers for war
my mercy and my refuge, my helper and my rescuer, my protector, and in him I hoped, the one who subdues my people under me
O Lord, what is man, that you have made yourself known to him, or the son of man, that you take account of him?
Man has been made like vanity; his days pass by like a shadow.
O Lord, bend your heavens and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Flash a lightning and you will scatter them; send out your arrows and you will throw them into confusion.
Send out your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from many waters, from the hand of foreign sons.
whose mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of injustice
O God, I will sing a new song to you; on a ten-stringed psaltery I will sing praise to you
to the one giving salvation to kings, to the one redeeming David his servant from an evil sword
Rescue me and deliver me out of the hand of foreign sons, whose mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of injustice.
Whose sons are like newly planted saplings, established in their youth; their daughters, adorned and decorated like the likeness of a temple
Their storehouses full, spewing out from this into this; their sheep, bearing many young, multiplying in their outgoings.
Their oxen are fat, there is no breach of a fence, nor passage out, nor cry in their squares.
They have called the people blessed, to whom these things are; blessed is the people whose Lord is their God.
