I will exalt you, Lord, because you upheld me and did not gladden my enemies over me
Lord my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me
O Lord, you brought up my soul from Hades; you saved me from those going down into the pit.
Sing to the Lord, his holy ones, and give thanks to the memorial of his holiness.
ὀργὴ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ ζωὴ ἐν τῷ θελήματι αὐτοῦ τὸ ἑσπέρας αὐλισθήσεται κλαυθμὸς καὶ εἰς τὸ πρωὶ ἀγαλλίασις
For wrath is in his anger, and life is in his will; in the evening weeping shall lodge, and in the morning gladness.
But I said in my prosperity, I shall by no means be shaken forever.
ἐν τῷ θελήματί σου παρέσχου τῷ κάλλει μου δύναμιν ἀπέστρεψας δὲ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου καὶ ἐγενήθην τεταραγμένος
O Lord, in your will you granted strength to my beauty; but you turned your face away, and I became troubled.
To you, O Lord, I will cry out, and to my God I will make supplication.
ὠφέλεια ἐν τῷ αἵματί μου ἐν τῷ καταβῆναί με εἰς διαφθοράν μὴ ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι χοῦς ἢ ἀναγγελεῖ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου
What profit is in my blood, in my going down to corruption? Will dust not confess to you, or will it declare your truth?
The Lord heard, and the Lord had mercy on me; the Lord became my helper.
You turned my mourning into a dance for me; you broke my sackcloth and girded me with gladness
So that my glory may sing to you and I may not be pierced, O Lord my God, forever I will give thanks to you
