Blessed is the one who understands the poor and needy; in an evil day the Lord will deliver him.
διαφυλάξαι αὐτὸν καὶ ζήσαι αὐτὸν καὶ μακαρίσαι αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ γῇ καὶ μὴ παραδῴη αὐτὸν εἰς χεῖρας ἐχθροῦ αὐτοῦ
May the Lord keep him safe and let him live, and bless him in the land, and not give him over into the hands of his enemy.
The Lord help him on his bed of pain; all his couch you turned in his sickness
I said, Lord, have mercy on me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.
My enemies said evils to me: When will he die, and his name perish?
εἰ εἰσεπορεύετο τοῦ ἰδεῖν μάτην ἐλάλει ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ συνήγαγεν ἀνομίαν ἑαυτῷ ἐξεπορεύετο ἔξω καὶ ἐλάλει
and if he went in to see, his heart spoke in vain; he gathered lawlessness for himself; he went out outside and spoke
Together against me all my enemies whispered; against me they were devising evils for me.
They laid down an unlawful word against me; will not he who is sleeping surely add to rise up?
For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, the one eating my loaves, magnified treachery against me
But you, O Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up, and I will repay them
In this I knew that you have desired me, that my enemy will by no means rejoice over me.
But you, because of my innocence, have upheld me and established me before you forever.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from the age and unto the age. So be it, so be it.
