For the end, concerning those who are to be changed, to David

Save me, O God, for the waters have entered even to my soul.

I have sunk into the mud of the depth, and there is no standing; I have come into the depths of the sea, and a storm has engulfed me

I am weary from crying out; my throat is hoarse; my eyes fail from hoping in my God

Those hating me without cause have been multiplied more than the hairs of my head; my enemies who are persecuting me unjustly have been strengthened. What I did not seize, then I was paying back.

O God, you know my foolishness, and my transgressions have not been hidden from you.

Let those who endure you not be shamed because of me, O Lord, Lord of hosts; let those who seek you not be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel.

For because of you I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face

I have become estranged to my brothers and a stranger to the sons of my mother

For the zeal of your house has devoured me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen upon me.

And I bent down my soul in fasting, and it became a reproach to me

And I put my clothing sackcloth, and I became to them for a proverb.

Those sitting in the gate spoke against me, and those drinking wine sang songs about me

But I, with my prayer to you, O Lord, in a favorable time, O God, in the abundance of your mercy, hear me, in the truth of your salvation.

Save me from the clay, lest I be fixed fast; may I be rescued from those who hate me and from the depth of the waters

Let not the flood of water swallow me up, nor let the deep press me down, nor let the pit shut its mouth over me.

Answer me, Lord, for your mercy is good; according to the multitude of your compassions, look upon me.

Do not turn away your face from your servant, for I am afflicted; quickly, hear me.

Attend to my soul and redeem it; because of my enemies, deliver me

For you know my reproach and my shame and my disgrace before you, all those who afflict me.

Reproach my soul looked for, and misery, and I endured, but there was none to pity, and comforters, and I found none

And they gave gall for my food, and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

Let their table become before them a snare, and a recompense, and a stumbling block

Let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and their back continually make bent down

Pour out your wrath upon them, and the anger of your wrath let it overtake them

May their dwelling become desolate, and let there not be one dwelling in their tents.

For whom you struck, they also pursued, and they added to the pain of your wounded ones.

Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not enter into your righteousness.

Let them be blotted out from the book of the living, and let them not be written with the righteous.

I am poor and in pain; O God, your salvation of your face has upheld me.

I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with praise.

And it will please God more than a new calf, bringing out horns and hoofs.

Let the poor see and be glad; seek God, and your soul shall live.

For the Lord has heard the needy, and he has not despised his prisoners.

Let the heavens and the earth praise him, the sea, and all the creeping things in them.

For God will save Zion, and the cities of Judea will be built, and they will dwell there and inherit it.

And the seed of his servants shall hold her, and those loving his name shall dwell in her.
