How beloved are your dwellings, O Lord of hosts.
καὶ ἐκλείπει ἡ ψυχή μου εἰς τὰς αὐλὰς τοῦ κυρίου ἡ καρδία μου καὶ ἡ σάρξ μου ἠγαλλιάσαντο ἐπὶ θεὸν ζῶντα
My soul longs and fails for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh rejoiced in the living God.
γὰρ στρουθίον εὗρεν ἑαυτῷ οἰκίαν καὶ τρυγὼν νοσσιὰν ἑαυτῇ οὗ θήσει τὰ νοσσία αὐτῆς τὰ θυσιαστήριά σου κύριε τῶν δυνάμεων ὁ βασιλεύς μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου
For even the sparrow has found a house for itself, and the turtle-dove a nest for herself, where she will place her nestlings: your altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
Blessed are those dwelling in your house forever and ever; they will praise you. Selah
Blessed is the man whose help is from you, O Lord; he has set ascents in his heart.
in the valley of weeping, to the place which he has set, for the lawgiver will also give blessings
They will go from strength to strength; the God of gods will be seen in Zion.
Lord, God of powers, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah
Our defender, see, O God, and look upon the face of your anointed one
κρείσσων ἡμέρα μία ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς σου ὑπὲρ χιλιάδας ἐξελεξάμην παραρριπτεῖσθαι ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ μᾶλλον ἢ οἰκεῖν ἐν σκηνώμασιν ἁμαρτωλῶν
For one day in your courts is better than thousands; I chose to be cast aside in the house of God rather than to dwell in the tents of sinners.
ἔλεον καὶ ἀλήθειαν ἀγαπᾷ κύριος ὁ θεός χάριν καὶ δόξαν δώσει κύριος οὐ στερήσει τὰ ἀγαθὰ τοὺς πορευομένους ἐν ἀκακίᾳ
For the Lord God loves mercy and truth; the Lord will give grace and glory; he will not deprive those who walk in innocence of good things.
Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in you
