It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing to your name, Most High
to proclaim your mercy in the morning and your truth by night
With a ten-string psaltery, with a song on a harp
For you have made me glad, O Lord, by your work, and in the works of your hands I will exult.
How great have your works become, O Lord; your thoughts have become exceedingly deep.
A senseless man will not know, and an unintelligent man will not understand these things.
τῷ ἀνατεῖλαι τοὺς ἁμαρτωλοὺς ὡς χόρτον καὶ διέκυψαν πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν ὅπως ἂν ἐξολεθρευθῶσιν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος
When sinners sprout up like grass, and all the workers of lawlessness looked out, that they might be utterly destroyed forever and ever
But you are most high forever, Lord
For behold, your enemies will perish, and all those who work lawlessness will be scattered.
And my horn shall be exalted like that of a unicorn, and my old age with rich oil.
ἐπεῖδεν ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου ἐν τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐπανιστανομένοις ἐπ᾿ ἐμὲ πονηρευομένοις ἀκούσεται τὸ οὖς μου
And my eye looked upon my enemies, and my ear will hear among those rising up against me, those doing evil.
The righteous shall blossom like a palm tree; and like a cedar in Lebanon shall he multiply.
Planted in the house of the Lord, in the courts of our God they shall blossom forth.
They shall still be multiplied in rich old age, and they shall be well-being and feeling good.
