Children, hear me, your father, and so do, that you may be saved.

For the Lord has glorified a father over children, and he has established a mother’s judgment over sons.

The one honoring a father makes atonement for sins

and as the one storing up treasures is the one glorifying his mother

He who honors a father will be gladdened by children, and in the day of his prayer he will be heard.

The one who honors a father will live long, and the one who listens to the Lord will bring rest to his mother.

and as to masters he will serve those who begot him

In deed and word honor your father, so that a blessing from him may come upon you.

For a father’s blessing establishes children’s houses, but a mother’s curse uproots foundations.

Do not glorify in your father’s dishonor, for dishonor of a father is not glory for you

For the glory of a man is from the honor of his father, and a mother in dishonor is a disgrace to children.

My child, take hold of your father in old age, and do not grieve him in his life.

And even if he lacks understanding, have pardon and do not dishonor him in all your strength.

For the mercy of a father will not be forgotten, and instead of sins it will be built up for you.

In the day of your affliction he will be remembered by you as fair weather upon frost; so your sins will be dissolved.

Like one who blasphemes is he who leaves father, and cursed by the Lord is he who provokes anger his mother

My child, carry out your works in meekness, and you will be loved by an acceptable man

The greater you are, the more humble yourself, and before the Lord you will find grace.

For great is the dominion of the Lord, and by the humble he is glorified.

Do not seek the things harder than you, and do not investigate the things stronger than you.

What has been commanded to you, these things consider; for there is no need for you of the hidden things.

In the greater things of your works do not busy yourself; for more understanding of men has been shown to you

For many, indeed, their presumption has led them astray, and an evil suspicion has made their minds slip.

A hard heart will be afflicted at the end, and the one who loves danger will perish by it.

A hard heart will be weighed down with labors, and the sinner will add sin upon sins.

For the affliction of a proud man there is no healing, for a plant of wickedness has taken root in him.

The heart of the prudent will ponder a parable, and the ear of a listener is the desire of a wise man.

Water will quench a flaming fire, and almsgiving will atone for sins.

The one repaying favors remembers for the things after these, and in the time of his falling he will find support.
