A courageous woman gladdens her husband, and she will fill out his years in peace.
A good wife is a good portion; in the portion of those who fear the Lord she will be given.
But of the rich and of the poor, a good heart at all times, a cheerful face
τριῶν εὐλαβήθη ἡ καρδία μου καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ τετάρτῳ προσώπῳ ἐδεήθην διαβολὴν πόλεως καὶ ἐκκλησίαν ὄχλου καὶ καταψευσμόν ὑπὲρ θάνατον πάντα μοχθηρά
At three things my heart was afraid, and for the fourth face I entreated: slander of a city, and gathering of a crowd, and false accusation above death; all evil things.
Grief of heart and mourning is a jealous woman over a woman, and a scourge of tongue sharing with all.
A yoke of oxen shaken is a wicked woman; he who holds her is like one who grasps a scorpion.
Great wrath is a drunken woman, and her shame she will not conceal.
The wantonness of a woman is known by the raising of the eyes and by her eyelids.
Over a daughter who is not kept under watch, set a strong guard, lest, having found freedom for herself, she use it.
Guard against the eye of an impudent man, and do not marvel if he transgresses against you.

δυσὶ λελύπηται ἡ καρδία μου καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ τρίτῳ θυμός μοι ἐπῆλθεν ἀνὴρ πολεμιστὴς ὑστερῶν δι᾿ ἔνδειαν καὶ ἄνδρες συνετοὶ ἐὰν σκυβαλισθῶσιν ἐπανάγων ἀπὸ δικαιοσύνης ἐπὶ ἁμαρτίαν ὁ κύριος ἑτοιμάσει εἰς ῥομφαίαν αὐτόν
Over two things my heart has been grieved, and over the third wrath has come upon me: a warrior man failing through want, and men of understanding if they are cast down, turning back from righteousness to sin. The Lord will prepare him for the sword.
A merchant will hardly be delivered from wrongdoing, and a shopkeeper will not be justified from sin.
