1 O death, how bitter is your memorial to a man at peace in his possessions, to a man undistracted and prospering in all things and still able to receive food.
2 O death, good is your judgment for a man in want and lacking in strength, for one of extreme old age and distracted about everything, and one disobeying and having lost endurance
3 Do not fear the judgment of death; remember your former things and your last things.
4 This judgment is from the Lord upon all flesh, and why do you refuse in the favor of the Most High? Whether ten years or a hundred or a thousand years, there is no rebuke of life in Hades.
5 Children of sinners become abominable children, and associating with the dwellings of the impious.
6 The inheritance of sinful children will perish, and with their offspring reproach will endure continually.
7 Children will reproach an impious father, because through him they will be insulted.
8 Woe to you, impious men, who have forsaken the law of God Most High.
9 And if you are born, you will be born for a curse, and if you die, you will be allotted to a curse.
10 All things that are from earth shall depart to earth; so the ungodly from curse to destruction.
11 The mourning of men in their bodies, but the name of sinners shall not be blotted out from good.
12 Take care of a good name, for it will remain with you more than a thousand great treasures of gold.
13 A good life has a number of days, and a good name will remain forever.
14 Maintain instruction in peace, children, but hidden wisdom and an unseen treasure—what profit is in both?
15 Better is a man hiding his folly than a man hiding his wisdom
16 Therefore be ashamed at my word, for it is not good to preserve every shame, and not everything is approved for everyone in faith
17 Be ashamed before father and mother concerning fornication, and before ruler and powerful man concerning falsehood.
18 from judge and ruler concerning trespass and from assembly and people concerning lawlessness
19 from a companion and friend concerning injustice, and from the place where you are staying concerning theft
20 from the truth of God and of covenant and from the binding of the elbow over loaves
21 from the taking and giving of usury, and from those greeting concerning silence
22 from the sight of a woman of a companion and from the turning away of the face of a relative
23 from taking away a share and gift and from observing a married woman
24 From the inquisitiveness of his maidservant and do not stand by her bed
25 From friends, concerning words of reproach, and after giving, do not reproach.
26 from duplicating speech and from a report of hearing, and from the revealing of hidden words
27 and you will be shamefaced indeed and finding favor before every man
