1 A memorial of Josiah, prepared as a composition of incense, made by the work of the perfumer; in every mouth it will be sweetened like honey, and like music at a banquet of wine
2 He himself was guided in the turning back of the people, and he removed the abominations of lawlessness.
3 He directed his heart toward the Lord; in days of lawless men he strengthened piety.
4 Except for David and Hezekiah and Josiah, all committed transgression, for the kings of Judah abandoned the law of the Most High; they failed.
5 For they gave their horn to others and their glory to a foreign nation
6 They burned with fire the chosen city of the sanctuary and laid waste her roads.
7 By the hand of Jeremiah, for they afflicted him, and he himself was sanctified in the womb, a prophet to uproot and to harm and to destroy, likewise to build and to plant.
8 Ezekiel, who saw a vision of glory, which he showed him upon a chariot of cherubim
9 For he also remembered the enemies in the rain and to do good to those who make straight paths
10 And may the bones of the twelve prophets sprout again from their place, for they comforted Jacob and delivered them by faith of hope.
11 How shall we magnify Zerubbabel? and he himself is like a seal on a right hand.
12 Thus Joshua son of Josedek, who in their days built a house and raised up a holy temple prepared for the Lord, for glory of eternity
13 and of Nehemiah, long is the memorial of the one who raised up for us fallen walls and set up gates and bars and raised up our ruined places
14 No one was created on the earth such as Enoch, for even he was taken up from the earth.
15 Nor was there born one like Joseph, a man ruling among brothers, a support of the people, and his bones were cared for
16 Shem and Seth were glorified among men, and above every living thing in creation was Adam.
