who brought upon them famine and by his zeal reduced them to fewness
By the word of the Lord he shut up heaven and brought down fire, thus three times.
How you were glorified, Elijah, in your wonders, and who is like you to boast?
he who raised a dead man from death and from Hades by the word of the Most High
he who brought down kings to destruction and those glorified from their beds
hearing at Sinai reproof and at Horeb judgments of vengeance
he who anoints kings for recompense and prophets as successors after him
the one taken up in a whirlwind of fire in a chariot of fiery horses
καταγραφεὶς ἐν ἐλεγμοῖς εἰς καιροὺς κοπάσαι ὀργὴν πρὸ θυμοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι καρδίαν πατρὸς πρὸς υἱὸν καὶ καταστῆσαι φυλὰς Ιακωβ

Elijah, who was covered in a whirlwind, and Elisha was filled with his spirit; and in his days he was not shaken by a ruler, and no one oppressed him.
No word surpassed him, and in his resting he prophesied concerning his body
And in his life he did wonders, and in his end his works were marvelous.
πᾶσιν τούτοις οὐ μετενόησεν ὁ λαὸς καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστησαν ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν ἕως ἐπρονομεύθησαν ἀπὸ γῆς αὐτῶν καὶ διεσκορπίσθησαν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ
In all these things the people did not repent, and they did not turn away from their sins until they were plundered from their land and were scattered over all the earth
κατελείφθη ὁ λαὸς ὀλιγοστός καὶ ἄρχων ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Δαυιδ τινὲς μὲν αὐτῶν ἐποίησαν τὸ ἀρεστόν τινὲς δὲ ἐπλήθυναν ἁμαρτίας
And the people was left very few, and a ruler in the house of David; some of them did the pleasing thing, and some multiplied sins.

Hezekiah fortified his city and brought water into the middle of it; he dug a cliff with iron and built springs for waters
ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ ἀνέβη Σενναχηριμ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ραψακην καὶ ἀπῆρεν καὶ ἐπῆρεν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Σιων καὶ ἐμεγαλαύχησεν ἐν ὑπερηφανίᾳ αὐτοῦ
In his days Sennacherim came up and sent Rapsakes, and he departed and raised his hand against Sion and boasted in his arrogance
Then their hearts and hands were shaken, and they were in labor pains like the women giving birth
ἐπεκαλέσαντο τὸν κύριον τὸν ἐλεήμονα ἐκπετάσαντες τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ ὁ ἅγιος ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ταχὺ ἐπήκουσεν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλυτρώσατο αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Ησαιου
And they called upon the Lord, the merciful one, stretching out their hands toward him, and the Holy One heard them quickly from heaven and delivered them by the hand of Isaiah.
He struck the camp of the Assyrians, and his angel destroyed them.
γὰρ Εζεκιας τὸ ἀρεστὸν κυρίῳ καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν ἐν ὁδοῖς Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἃς ἐνετείλατο Ησαιας ὁ προφήτης ὁ μέγας καὶ πιστὸς ἐν ὁράσει αὐτοῦ
For Hezekiah did what was pleasing to the Lord, and he strengthened himself in the ways of David his father, as Isaiah the great and faithful prophet commanded in his vision.
In his days the sun turned back and added life to the king
By a great spirit he saw the last things, and he comforted those mourning in Zion
He showed the things that would be and the hidden things before they came to be, forever
