Text size:
As a lily among thorns, so is my neighbor among the daughters
As an apple among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the sons; in his shade I longed and sat, and his fruit is sweet in my throat
Bring me into the house of wine; set love over me.
Sustain me with raisin cakes; pile me up with apples, for I am wounded with love.
His left hand is under my head, and his right hand will embrace me.
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and by the strengths of the field, if you stir up and awaken love until it should desire.
The voice of my brother, behold, this one is coming, leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag of deer upon the mountains of Beth-el. Behold, this one stands behind our wall, peering through the windows, looking out through the lattices.
My beloved answers and says to me: Rise up, come, my neighbor, my beautiful one, my dove.
For behold, the winter has passed, the rain has gone away, it has gone on for itself.
The flowers have appeared in the land; the time of pruning has come; the voice of the turtle-dove has been heard in our land.
The fig tree has put forth its unripe figs; the vines are blossoming, they have given forth a fragrance. Arise, come, my neighbor, my beautiful one, my dove.
And come, you my dove, in the shelter of the rock, near the wall; show me your face, and make me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely.
Catch for us the little foxes destroying the vineyards, and our vines are in blossom
My beloved is mine, and I am his, the one shepherding among the lilies.
Until the day breathes and the shadows move away, turn back; be like, my brother, to a gazelle or a young stag of the deer on the mountains of clefts
