And if anyone loves righteousness, the labors of her are virtues; for she teaches self-control and prudence, righteousness and courage, than which nothing is more useful in life for people.

And if anyone desires much experience, she knows the things of old and guesses the things to come; she understands turns of words and solutions of riddles, she foreknows signs and wonders and the outcomes of times and seasons

And in her friendship is good delight, and in the labors of her hands inexhaustible wealth, and in the companionship of her speech prudence and good repute; I used to go about seeking how I might take her to myself.

And knowing that I shall not be self-controlled otherwise unless God should give it, and this also was of prudence, to know whose grace I had obtained, I appealed to the Lord and besought him, and I said with all my heart:
