and by your wisdom having prepared man, so that he might rule over the creatures made by you
and may judge the world in holiness and righteousness and in uprightness of soul judge judgment
Give me the wisdom that sits beside your thrones, and do not reject me from among your children.
For I am your servant and the son of your maidservant, a weak man and short of time, and less in understanding of judgment and laws
For even if anyone be perfect among the sons of men, if the wisdom from you be absent, he will be accounted as nothing.
You chose me beforehand to be king of your people and judge of your sons and daughters
You said to build a sanctuary on your holy mountain and an altar in the city of your dwelling, a copy of the holy tent which you prepared beforehand from the beginning
and with you is wisdom, who knows your works and was present when you were making the world and understands what is pleasing in your eyes and what is straight in your commandments
Send her out from holy heavens, and from the throne of your glory send her, so that, being together with me, she may labor and know what is pleasing before you.
For that one knows all things and understands, and will guide me in my actions prudently, and will keep me in her glory.
and my works will be acceptable, and I will judge your people justly, and I will be worthy of my father’s thrones
For what man will know the counsel of God, or who will consider what the Lord wills?
For the thoughts of mortals are fearful and our plans are precarious.
For a corruptible body weighs down the soul, and the earthy tent presses down the mindful mind with many cares.
And with difficulty we conjecture the things on earth and the things in hands we find with toil, but the things in the heavens, who has tracked them out?
And who knew your counsel except you gave wisdom and sent your holy spirit from the heights?
And thus the paths of those on earth were set right, and the things pleasing to you were taught to men, and by wisdom they were saved.
