For if I cause you sorrow, who will make me glad except the one who is grieved by me?
And I wrote this so that when I come I may not suffer sorrow from those from whom I ought to rejoice, being confident concerning all of you that my joy is the joy of all of you.
For I wrote to you out of much distress and anguish of heart, with many tears, not so that you would be grieved, but so that you might know the love I have more abundantly for you.
If anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but to some extent, so that I do not burden all of you.
Sufficient for such a person is this punishment by the majority,
So rather, you should forgive and encourage him, so that he is not overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
Therefore I urge you to confirm your love for him.
For this reason I also wrote, so that you may know the testing of you, whether you are obedient in everything.
If you forgive anything, I also forgive; for indeed I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, for your sake in the presence of Christ.
so that we may not be outwitted by Satan, for we do not ignore his schemes.
And when I came to Troas to proclaim the gospel of the Messiah, and a door was opened to me in the Lord,
I did not find relief in my spirit because I did not find my brother Titus, but having rejected them, I went out to Macedonia.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Messiah and makes the fragrance of the knowledge of him known through us in every place.
For we are the fragrance of Christ to God among those being saved and among those perishing,
To some, the fragrance from death leads to death, but to others, the fragrance from life leads to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
For we are not like many who peddle the word of God, but as from sincerity, as from God before God, we speak in Christ.
