But since there was no harbor suitable for wintering, most decided to set sail from there, if somehow they could reach Phoenix and winter there, a harbor of Crete facing both southwest and northwest.

Since there was great hunger then, Paul stood in the middle of them and said, Men, it was necessary, by obeying me, not to set sail from Crete and to avoid both this disaster and loss.

Until day was about to come, Paul was urging all to take some food, saying, Today is the fourteenth day that you have continued in fasting without eating anything.
