And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so that they might come and anoint him.

And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb at sunrise.

And they were saying to one another, Who will roll away for us the stone from the door of the tomb?

And looking up, they see that the stone has been rolled away, for it was very large.

And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were amazed.

But he says to them, Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus the Nazarene, the one who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you into Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.

And having gone out, they fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. But they briefly reported all the things commanded to those around Peter. After these things, Jesus himself sent forth through them from east to west the sacred and incorruptible proclamation of eternal salvation. Amen.

But rising early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

She went and announced to those who had been with him, mourning and weeping.

And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

After these things, he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking into the countryside.

And they went out and reported it to the rest, but even to them they did not believe.

Later, while they were reclining at table, he appeared to the eleven and rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had been raised.

And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

And these signs will follow those who have believed: in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues,

They will pick up snakes, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover well.

Then the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working together with them and confirming the word through the signs that followed.
