And Jesus went out from the temple, and his disciples came to show him the buildings of the temple.

He answered them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone will be left here on another stone that will not be destroyed.

As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying, Tell us when these things will be, and what will be the sign of your presence and the completion of the age.

And Jesus answered them, Do not let anyone deceive you.

For many will come in my name, saying, I am the Messiah, and they will lead many astray.

You will hear of wars and reports of wars; see that you are not alarmed. For it is necessary for these things to happen, but the end is not yet.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

All these things are the beginning of birth pains.

Then they will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of my name.

And then many will be caused to stumble, and they will deliver up one another and hate one another.

And many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray.

And because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole inhabited world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place, let the one who reads understand,

Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains,

Let the one on the roof not come down to take what is in his house,

And the one in the field must not turn back to take his garment.

Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing in those days.

But pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

For then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world until now, nor will it ever occur.

And if those days had not been cut short, no flesh would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.

Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Messiah, or, Here, do not believe it.

For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Behold, I have told you beforehand.

So if they say to you, Look, he is in the wilderness, do not go out; Look, he is in the inner rooms, do not believe it.

For just as the lightning comes out from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the presence of the Son of Man.

Wherever the corpse is, there the eagles will be gathered.

Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Now from the fig tree learn the parable: when its branch has already become tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

So also you, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors.

Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, nor the Son, but only the Father alone.

For just as the days of Noah were, so will be the presence of the Son of Man.

For as they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark,

and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Then two will be in the field, one will be taken and one will be left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

Therefore, stay awake, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

But you know this: if the householder had known at what watch the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

Therefore you also must be ready, because at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man comes.

Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom the lord has appointed over his household to give them food at the proper time?

Blessed is the servant whom his master, when he comes, will find doing so.

Truly I say to you, he will set him over all that he has.

But if that evil servant says in his heart, My master is delaying,

and he will begin to strike his fellow servants, and he will eat and drink with the drunkards,

The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect and at an hour he does not know,

And he will cut him in two and assign his portion with the hypocrites; there will be weeping and the grinding of teeth.
