And a reed like a rod was given to me, saying, Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those worshiping in it.

And throw out the outer court of the temple and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.

And I will give authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the Lord of the earth.

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and consumes their enemies; and if anyone wants to harm them, in this way he must be killed.

These have the authority to shut the heaven, so that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy, and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every plague as often as they desire.

And when they finish their testimony, the beast coming up from the abyss will make war with them, conquer them, and kill them.

And their dead body will lie in the square of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

And those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and they do not allow their dead bodies to be placed in a tomb.

And those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them and are glad, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

And after the three and a half days, a life-giving spirit from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here, and they went up to heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them.

And at that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand people’s names were killed in the earthquake, and the rest became fearful and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The second woe has passed; behold, the third woe is coming quickly.

And the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and loud voices occurred in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.

And the twenty-four elders who sit before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God,

Saying, We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

And the nations were angry, and your wrath came, and the time to judge the dead and to give the reward to your servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.

And the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple; and there were flashes of lightning and voices and thunders and an earthquake and great hail.
