And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars,

and she was pregnant, and she cried out in labor pains and was struggling to give birth.

And another sign appeared in heaven, and behold, a great fiery red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and on his heads seven diadems,

And his tail swept away a third of the stars of the sky and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.

And she gave birth to a son, male, who is about to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod; and her child was caught up to God and to his throne.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, so that there they may nourish her for one thousand two hundred sixty days.

And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon fought and his angels,

And he was not strong enough, nor was a place found for them anymore in heaven.

And the great dragon was thrown down, the ancient serpent, who is called Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole inhabited world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one accusing them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.

Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has little time.

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male.

And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent.

And the serpent threw water like a river out of his mouth behind the woman, to make the river carry her away.

And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had thrown out of his mouth.

And the dragon was angry with the woman, and he went away to make war with the rest of her offspring, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus.

And he stood on the sand of the sea.
