And those appointed were providing in this way for King Solomon and all the provisions for the king’s table, each month by his month, not failing a word, and they were bringing up the barley and the straw for the horses and for the chariots to the place where the king might be, each according to his assignment.

And these were the provisions for Solomon in one day: thirty cors of fine flour and sixty cors of crushed flour.

and ten choice calves and twenty pasture oxen and one hundred sheep, besides deer and gazelles and choice fattened birds

for he was ruler beyond the River, and there was peace to him from all the sides round about

And the Lord gave understanding to Solomon and very great wisdom and overflow of heart as the sand that is by the sea.

And Solomon was made exceedingly more abundant in wisdom than the prudence of all ancient men and than all the wise men of Egypt

and he became wiser than all men, and he became wiser than Gaitan the Ezrahite and than Heman and than Chalcal and Darda, sons of Mal

And Solomon spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were five thousand.

and he spoke about the trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon and as far as the hyssop that goes out through the wall, and he spoke about the livestock and about the birds and about the creeping things and about the fish

And all the peoples were coming to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and he was receiving gifts from all the kings of the earth, as many as were hearing of his wisdom.

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to anoint Solomon instead of David his father, because Hiram was loving David all the days

And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying:

You know David my father, that he was not able to build a house for the name of the Lord my God because of the wars that had surrounded him until the Lord gave them under the soles of his feet

And now the Lord my God has given me rest all around; there is no plotter and there is no evil occurrence.

And behold, I am saying to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, according as the Lord God spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will give in your place upon your throne, he shall build the house for my name.

And now command, and let them cut me wood from Lebanon; and behold, my servants are with your servants, and I will give you the wage of your service according to everything that you may say, for you know that there is not among us anyone who knows how to cut wood, as the Sidonians.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be God today, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.

And he sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard concerning all that thou hast sent to me; I will do all thy will: cedar and pine wood.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will put them into rafts as far as the place where you may send to me, and I will release them there, and you shall take them up and do my will, to give bread to my house

And Hiram was giving to Solomon cedars and all his desire

And Solomon gave to Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat and machir for his house, and twenty thousand beth of beaten oil; according to this Solomon used to give to Hiram year by year.

And the Lord gave wisdom to Solomon, just as he spoke to him, and there was peace between Hiram and between Solomon, and they made a covenant between themselves.

And the king levied tribute from all Israel, and the tribute was thirty thousand men.

And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand in the month, changing they were a month in Lebanon and two months in their house; and Adoniram was over the tribute.

And Solomon had seventy thousand carrying burden and eighty thousand stonecutters in the mountain

besides the rulers who were appointed over the works of Solomon, three thousand and six hundred overseers, the ones doing the works

And they prepared the stones and the wood three years.
