And Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned over Judah. Rehoboam was a son of forty and one years when he began to reign, and seventeen years he reigned in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord chose to set his name there, out of all the tribes of Israel; and the name of his mother was Naama the Ammonitess.

And Rehoboam did what was evil before the Lord, and he made him jealous in all that his fathers had done and in their sins which they sinned.

And they built for themselves high places and pillars and sacred groves on every high hill and under every leafy tree

And there was a band in the land, and they made from all the abominations of the nations which the Lord drove out from before the sons of Israel.

And it came to pass in the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign that Shosakim king of Egypt went up against Jerusalem.

And he took all the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the house of the king and the golden spears that David took from the hand of the servants of Hadraazar king of Zoba, and he brought them into Jerusalem; he took all the golden shields.

And Rehoboam the king made bronze weapons in their place, and the leaders of the runners who were guarding the gate of the house of the king put them on him.

And it happened when the king entered into the house of the Lord, the runners would take them up and would place them against the wall of the runners.

And the rest of the words of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not indeed written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?

And there was war between Rehoboam and between Jeroboam all the days.

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David, and Abijah his son reigned in his place.
