Therefore thus said the Lord, the God of Israel: I said, Your house and the house of your father shall pass before me forever; and now the Lord says: Far be it from me, for indeed those who glorify me I will glorify, and the one who despises me shall be dishonored.
And a man of yours I will not utterly destroy from my altar, to make his eyes fail and his soul melt away; and everyone left over of your house will fall by the sword of men.
And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do all the things in my heart and the things in my soul; and I will build for him a faithful house, and he shall walk before my anointed all the days.
And it shall be that the one who remains in your house will come to worship him for a piece of silver, saying, Cast me onto one of your priesthoods so that I may eat bread.
