And he put strength in all the fortified cities of Judah, and he set leaders in all the cities of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which Asa his father had taken beforehand.
And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the ways of his father, the first ones, and did not seek out the idols.
but he sought the Lord, the God of his father, and he walked in the commandments of his father, and not according to the works of Israel
And the Lord established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah gave gifts to Jehoshaphat, and there was to him much wealth and glory.
And his heart was lifted up in the way of the Lord, and still he removed the high places and the groves from the land of Judah.
And in the third year of his reign he sent his officials, and the sons of the mighty men, Abdian and Zacharias and Nathanael and Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
and with them the Levites, Samouias and Nathanias and Zabdias and Asiel and Semiramoth and Ionathan and Adonias and Tōbias, the Levites, and with them Elisama and Iōram, the priests
And they were teaching in Judah, and with them was the book of the law of the Lord, and they went through the cities of Judah and were teaching the people
And a terror of the Lord was upon all the kingdoms of the land that were around Judah, and they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.
And from the foreigners they were bringing to Jehoshaphat gifts and silver and presents, and the Arabs were bringing to him seven thousand seven hundred rams of sheep.
And Jehoshaphat was going and becoming greater, up to height, and he built dwellings in Judah and fortified cities.
And he had many works in Judah, and mighty men of war, strong men, in Jerusalem.
And this is their number according to the houses of their families: for Judah, captains of thousands, Ednas the ruler, and with him mighty sons of strength, three hundred thousand.
and after him Johanan the leader, and with him two hundred eighty thousand
and after him Amasias the son of Zichri, who volunteered to the Lord, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of strength
And from Benjamin, Eliada, a mighty man of strength, and with him bowmen and shield-bearers, two hundred thousand
and after him Jehozabad, and with him one hundred eighty thousand mighty men of war
These were the ones ministering to the king, besides those whom the king gave in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
