And Jehu the son of Hanani the prophet went out to meet him and said to him, King Jehoshaphat, if you help a sinner, or if you make friendship with one hated by the Lord, because of this wrath has come upon you from the Lord.
Nevertheless good things have been found in you, because you removed the groves from the land of Judah, and you directed your heart to seek the Lord
And Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, and again he went out to the people, from Beersheba as far as the hill country of Ephraim, and he turned them back to the Lord, the God of their fathers.
And he appointed judges in all the fortified cities of Judah, in city and city.
And he said to the judges, See what you are doing, because you do not judge for man, but for the Lord, and with you are matters of judgment.
And now let the fear of the Lord be upon you, and keep and do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, nor showing partiality, nor taking gifts.
And indeed in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed some of the priests and of the Levites and of the patriarchs of Israel for the judgment of the Lord and to judge those dwelling in Jerusalem
And he commanded them, saying, Thus you shall do in the fear of the Lord, in truth, and with a full heart.
Every man the case that comes upon you of your brothers, those who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood and between commandment and precept and statutes and judgments, and you shall distinguish them, and they shall not sin against the Lord, and there shall not be wrath upon you and upon your brothers; thus you shall do, and you shall not sin.
And behold, Amarias the priest is leading over you for every matter of the Lord, and Zabdias son of Ishmael, the leader for the house of Judah, for every matter of the king; and the scribes and the Levites are before your face. Be strong and do, and the Lord will be with the good.
