12
And the Levites arose: Maath son of Amasi and Joel son of Azariou, from the sons of Kohath; and from the sons of Merari, Kish son of Abdi and Azarias son of Iaellel; and from the sons of the Gershonites, Joa son of Zemmath and Jodan son of Joacha
16
And the priests went inside into the house of the Lord to cleanse it, and they cast out all the uncleanness that was found in the house of the Lord and into the court of the house of the Lord, and the Levites received it to carry it out to the Kidron brook outside.
17
And they began on the first day, the new moon of the first month, to cleanse, and on the eighth day of the month they entered into the house of the Lord, and they cleansed the house of the Lord in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.
18
And they went inside to Hezekiah the king and said, We have purified all the things in the house of the Lord, the altar of the burnt offering and its vessels, and the table of the presentation and its vessels.
21
And he brought up seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, seven male goats for sin, for the kingdom and for the holy things and for Israel, and he said to the sons of Aaron, the priests, to go up onto the altar of the Lord
22
And they slaughtered the calves, and the priests received the blood and poured it upon the altar, and they slaughtered the rams and poured the blood upon the altar, and they slaughtered the lambs and poured the blood around the altar
24
And the priests slaughtered them and made atonement with their blood upon the altar, and made atonement for all Israel, because for all Israel the king said, the burnt offering and the sin offerings.
25
And he stationed the Levites in the house of the Lord with cymbals and with lutes and with harps, according to the command of David the king and Gad the seer for the king and Nathan the prophet, because by command of the Lord the ordinance was by the hand of the prophets.
27
And Hezekiah said to offer up the whole burnt offering on the altar, and when they began to offer the whole burnt offering, they began to sing to the Lord, and the trumpets, with the instruments of David king of Israel.
31
And Hezekiah answered and said, Now you have filled your hands for the Lord; bring near and bring sacrifices and praise-offerings to the house of the Lord. And the assembly brought sacrifices and praise-offerings to the house of the Lord, and everyone, willing in heart, burnt offerings.
34
But the priests were few, and they were not able to flay the whole burnt offering, and their brothers the Levites helped them until the work was completed, and until the priests had consecrated themselves, for the Levites had consecrated themselves more willingly than the priests.
