And Naaman the commander of the force of Syria was a great man before his lord and esteemed in appearance, because by him the Lord had given salvation to Syria; and the man was mighty in strength, leprous.

And Syrians went out as raiders and took captive out of the land of Israel a little young girl, and she was before the wife of Naaman.

And she said to her mistress, Would that my lord were before the prophet of God who is in Samaria; then he would remove him from his leprosy.

And he went in and reported to her lord and said, Thus and thus the girl who is from the land of Israel spoke.

And the king of Syria said to Naaman, Come, enter, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he went and took in his hand ten talents of silver and six thousand gold coins and ten changes of garments.

And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, And now when this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, and you shall recover him from his leprosy.

And it came to pass, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to put to death and make alive, that this one sends to me to remove a man from his leprosy? For only know now and see that this one is making a pretext against me.

And it came to pass, when Elisha heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, that he sent to the king of Israel, saying, Why have you torn your garments? Let Naaman now come to me, and let him know that there is a prophet in Israel.

And Naaman came in horse and chariot and stood at the door of Elisha’s house.

And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh shall return to you, and you shall be cleansed.

And Naaman was angered and went away and said, Behold, indeed, I was saying that he will come out to me and stand and call upon in the name of his God and will lay his hand upon the place and will remove the leprosy.

Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than the Jordan and all the waters of Israel? Shall I not go and wash in them and be cleansed? And he turned away and went off in wrath.

And his servants approached and spoke to him, saying, The prophet spoke a great word to you; will you not do it? and because he said to you, Wash, and be cleansed?

And Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of Elisha; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was cleansed.

And he returned to Elisha, he and all his camp, and he came and stood and said, Behold now, I have known that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel; and now receive the blessing from your servant.

And Elisha said, As the Lord lives, before whom I have stood, I will not receive. And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

And Naaman said, And if not, let there be given, please, to your servant a load of a pair of mules, and you shall give me from the red earth, because your servant will no longer make a whole burnt offering and sacrifice to other gods, except to the Lord alone.

and the Lord will be gracious to your servant in the going in of my lord into the house of Rimmon to worship him, and he will lean on my hand, and I will worship in the house of Rimmon, in my worshiping him in the house of Rimmon; and surely the Lord will be gracious to your servant in this word

And Elisha said to Naaman, Go in peace. And he went away from him to Debratha of the land.

And Giezi, the servant of Elisha, said, Behold, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, from taking from his hand what he had brought; as the Lord lives, surely I will run after him and take something from him.

And Giezi pursued after Naaman, and Naaman saw him running after him, and he turned back from the chariot to meet him

And he said, Peace, my lord has sent me, saying, Behold, now two young men from the hill country of Ephraim, from the sons of the prophets, have come to me; give, please, to them a talent of silver and two changes of garments.

And Naaman said, Take two talents of silver, and he took in two bags, and two changes of garments, and he gave them to two of his young men, and they carried before him

And he came to the dark place and took from their hands and laid them in the house and sent the men away

And he came in and stood by his lord, and he said to him, Elisha, from where, Gehazi? And Gehazi said, Your servant has not gone here and there.

And Elisha said to him, Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from the chariot to meet you? And now you have taken the silver, and now you have taken the garments, and you shall receive in it gardens and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and male servants and female servants.

And Naaman’s leprosy shall cling to you and to your seed forever. And he went out from before him leprous, as snow.
