And one of his servants said, No, my lord king, but Elisha the prophet who is in Israel declares to the king of Israel all the words that you speak in your inner bedroom chamber.

And the attendant of Elisha rose early to get up and went out, and behold, force encircling the city, and horse and chariot; and the little servant said to him, O lord, how shall we do?

And Elisha prayed and said, O Lord, open the eyes of the young man, and let him see. And the Lord opened his eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and a chariot of fire all around Elisha.

And it happened, when they entered into Samaria, that Elisha said, Open now, O Lord, their eyes, and let them see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw, and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

And he said, You shall not strike whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow; you strike. Set bread and water before them, and let them eat and let them drink and let them go to their lord.

And he set before them a great banquet, and they ate and drank, and he sent them away, and they went to their lord; and the raiding bands of Syria did not continue any more to come into the land of Israel.

And there was a great famine in Samaria, and behold, they besieged it until a donkey’s head was for fifty shekels of silver, and a fourth of the cab of dove’s dung for five shekels of silver.

And it happened, when the king of Israel heard the words of the woman, that he tore his garments, and he himself was passing along upon the wall; and the people saw the sackcloth upon his flesh inside

And Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him, and he sent a man before him, before the messenger came to him; and he himself said to the elders, Do you know that this son of the murderer has sent to take away my head? See, when the messenger comes, shut the door and press him in the door; is not the sound of the feet of his lord behind him?
