And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had brought to life again, saying, Rise and go, you and your house, and sojourn wherever you may sojourn, because the Lord has called a famine upon the land, and indeed it has come upon the land seven years.

And the woman rose up and did according to the word of Elisha, and she went, she and her house, and sojourned in the land of the foreigners seven years.

And it happened after the end of the seven years that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines to the city, and she came to cry out to the king about her house and about her fields.

And the king was speaking to Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray, all the great things that Elisha did.

And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had revived a dead son, that behold, the woman whose son Elisha had revived was crying out to the king concerning her house and concerning her fields. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha revived.

And the king asked the woman, and she told him; and the king gave her one eunuch, saying, Restore all that is hers and all the produce of her field from the day when she left the land until now.

And Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-hadad king of Syria was sick, and they reported to him, saying, The man of God has come here.

And the king said to Hazael, Take in your hand a gift, and come to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord from him, saying, Shall I recover from this my illness?

And Hazael went to meet him, and he took manna in his hand and all the good things of Damascus, a burden of forty camels, and he came and stood before him and said to Elisha, Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, Shall I live from this sickness of mine?

And Elisha said, Come, say to him, You shall surely live, but the Lord has shown me that you shall surely die.

And he stood before his face and set it until shame, and the man of God wept

And Hazael said, Why is it that my lord is weeping? And he said, Because I know what evil you will do to the sons of Israel: their strongholds you will send into fire, and their chosen men you will kill with the sword, and their infants you will dash to pieces, and their women with child you will rip open.

And Hazael said, Who is your servant, the dog, the dead one, that he should do this thing? And Elisha said, The Lord has shown me you reigning over Syria.

And he departed from Elisha and went in to his lord and said to him, What did Elisha say to you? And he said, He said to me, You shall surely live.

And it came to pass on the next day, and he took the coverlet and dipped it in the water and spread it over his face, and he died, and Hazael reigned in his place.

In the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel, Joram son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign

He was a son of thirty-two years when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, because a daughter of Ahab was to him for a wife, and he did what was evil before the Lord.

And the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah for the sake of David his servant, according as he said to give him a lamp and to his sons all the days.

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah and they made a king over themselves

And Joram went up to Seir, and all the chariots with him, and it came to pass, when he had risen up, that he struck Edom, who had surrounded him, and the commanders of the chariots, and the people fled to their tents.

And Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah until this day. Then Libnah revolted at that time.

And the rest of the words of Joram, and all that he did, are they not behold, written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?

And Joram slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Ahaziah his son reigned in his place.

In the twelfth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel, Ahaziah son of Joram began to reign.

Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem; and the name of his mother was Athaliah the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

And he went in the way of the house of Ahab and did the evil before the Lord, as the house of Ahab did.

And he went with Joram son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of the Philistines in Ramoth-gilead, and the Syrians struck Joram

And King Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel from the wounds that they had struck him with at Ramoth, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria; and Ahaziah son of Joram went down to see Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
