And David again gathered together all the young men out of Israel, about seventy thousand.

And David arose and went, and all the people with him, from the rulers of Judah, in order to bring up from there the ark of God, upon which the name of the Lord of hosts was called, who sits upon the Cherubim on it.

And they set the ark of the Lord on a new cart, and they took it from the house of Aminadab in the hill country, and Oza and his brothers, the sons of Aminadab, were leading the cart.

And David and the sons of Israel were playing before the Lord with instruments fitted with strength, and with songs, and with lyres, and with lutes, and with tambourines, and with cymbals, and with pipes.

And they come as far as the threshing floor of Noadab, and Uzzah stretched out his hand toward the ark of God to hold it, and he grasped it, because the calf had pulled it aside to hold it.

And the Lord was angry with Uzzah, and God struck him there, and he died there beside the ark of the Lord, before God.

And David was grieved because of what the Lord had broken through with a breaking at Oza, and that place was called the Breaking of Oza until this day.

And David feared the Lord on that day, saying, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?

And David was not willing to turn aside the ark of the covenant of the Lord to himself into the city of David, and David turned it aside into the house of Abeddara the Gittite.

And the ark of the Lord sat in the house of Abeddara the Geththaean three months, and the Lord blessed the whole house of Abeddara and all that was his.

And it was reported to King David, saying, The Lord has blessed the house of Abeddara and all that is his because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of the Lord from the house of Abeddara into the city of David with gladness.

And there were with them lifting the ark, seven choirs and a sacrifice, a bull and a lamb.

And David was dancing with tuned instruments before the Lord, and David, wearing a very fine robe

And David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with a shout and with the sound of a trumpet

And it came to pass, when the ark was coming to the city of David, that Melchol, the daughter of Saul, was looking out through the window, and she saw King David dancing and playing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.

And they brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place in the midst of the tent which David had pitched for it, and David offered up burnt offerings before the Lord and peace offerings.

And David finished, offering up the whole burnt offerings and the peace offerings, and he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts

And he distributed to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, from Dan to Beer-sheba, from man to woman, to each a cake of bread and a roasted portion and a flat cake from the pan; and all the people went away, each to his house.

And David returned to bless his house, and Melchol the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and blessed him and said, How glorified has the king of Israel become today, who was uncovered today in the eyes of the maidservants of his servants, as one of the dancers is uncovered, being uncovered.

And David said to Melchol, Before the Lord I will dance; blessed is the Lord, who chose me rather than your father and rather than all his house, to appoint me as ruler over his people, over Israel; and I will play and dance before the Lord.

And I will be uncovered still thus, and I will be unworthy in your eyes and with the maidservants of whom you spoke, to be glorified by them.

And to Michal the daughter of Saul there was not a child until the day of her dying.
