The Koine Bible

This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that exists forever; all who hold it are for life, but those who abandon it will die.

Turn back, Jacob, and take hold of her; go through toward the shining, opposite the light of her.

Do not give your glory and what is beneficial to you to another and to a foreign nation.

Blessed are we, Israel, because the things pleasing to God are known to us.

Take courage, my people; remembrance of Israel.

You were sold to the nations not for destruction, but because you provoked God to anger you were handed over to your adversaries

For you provoked the one who made you by sacrificing to demons and not to God.

But you forgot the God who nourished you, the eternal God, and you grieved also Jerusalem, the one who brought you up.

For she saw the wrath that had come upon you from God, and she said, Hear, you sojourners of Zion; God has brought upon me great mourning.

For I saw the captivity of my sons and my daughters, which the Everlasting brought upon them

For I nurtured them with gladness, but I sent them out with weeping and mourning.

Let no one rejoice over me, the widow and the one left desolate by many; I have been laid waste because of the sins of my children, because they turned aside from the law of God.

and they did not know his statutes, nor did they walk in the ways of the commandments of God, nor did they tread the paths of discipline in his righteousness

Let the sojourners of Zion come, and remember the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Eternal brought upon them.

For he brought upon them a nation from far away, a shameless nation and of another tongue, who were not ashamed of an old man and did not pity a child.

and they led away the beloved of the widow, and from the daughters they made the only one desolate

And I, what am I able to help you?

For he who brought the evils upon you will rescue you from the hand of your enemies

Go, children, go, for I have been left desolate.

I put off the robe of peace, and I put on sackcloth of my supplication; I will cry out to the Eternal in my days

Be of courage, children; cry out to God, and he will deliver you from dominion, from the hand of enemies.

For I hoped for your salvation in the eternal one, and joy came to me from the Holy One over the mercy that will come to you quickly from the eternal Savior of you.

For I sent you out with mourning and weeping, but God will give you back to me with joy and gladness forever.

For just as now the sojourners of Zion have seen your captivity, so they will quickly see from your God the salvation that will come upon you with great glory and the splendor of the Eternal one.

Children, bear patiently the wrath that has come upon you from God; your enemy has pursued you, and you will see his destruction quickly, and you will tread upon their necks.

My delicate ones went on rough roads; they were taken away like a flock seized by enemies.

Take courage, children, and cry out to God, for there will be remembrance of you by the one who brings these things upon you.

For as your thought became to go astray from God, turn back tenfold and seek him.

For he who brought upon you the evils will bring upon you the everlasting joy with your salvation

Take courage, Jerusalem; he who named you will comfort you.

Wretched are those who did evil to you and rejoiced at your fall.

Wretched are the cities that your children served; wretched is the one that received your sons.

For as she rejoiced at your downfall and was glad at your ruin, so she shall be grieved at her own desolation

And I will take away from her the joy of her multitude, and her exultation will be into mourning

For fire shall come upon her from the Everlasting for many days, and she shall be inhabited by demons for the greater time.

Look about toward the east, Jerusalem, and see the gladness coming to you from God.

Look, your sons are coming, whom you sent away; they are coming gathered together from the east to the west at the word of the Holy One, rejoicing in the glory of God.
