And I lifted up my eyes and I saw, and behold, one ram standing before the Ulai, and to it horns; and the horns were high, and the one was higher than the other, and the high one was coming up last
I saw the ram butting toward the west and north and south, and all the beasts did not stand before him, and there was no one rescuing out of his hand; and he acted according to his will, and he magnified himself.
And I was understanding, and behold, a male goat was coming from the west over the face of all the earth, and he was not touching the earth; and to the male goat was a conspicuous horn between his eyes.
And I saw him coming up to the ram, and he was enraged against him and struck the ram and shattered both his horns, and there was no strength in the ram to stand before him; and he threw him to the ground and trampled him, and there was no one rescuing the ram from his hand.
And the male goat of the goats was magnified exceedingly, and when he became strong, his great horn was broken, and four horns came up under him toward the four winds of heaven.
And until the chief commander rescues the captivity, and through him sacrifice was thrown down and came to be, and it prospered for him, and the holy place shall be made desolate
And I heard one holy one speaking, and one holy one said to the one speaking, How long will the vision stand, the sacrifice that was taken away, and the sin of desolation that was given, and the holy place and the power be trampled?
And he came and stood near my standing place, and at his coming I was amazed and I fell upon my face, and he said to me, Understand, son of man, for still the vision is for the end of the time.
And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy marvelously, and he shall direct and act, and he shall destroy mighty ones and a holy people
And the yoke of his collar shall direct deceit in his hand, and in his heart he shall be magnified, and by deceit he shall destroy many, and he shall stand up for the destruction of many, and as eggs he shall shatter by hand.
And I, Daniel, slept and was sick for days, and I arose and did the works of the king, and I was marveling at the vision, and there was no one understanding it
