The Koine Bible

And I, in the first year of Cyrus, stood to strengthen and to fortify.

And now I will declare the truth to you: behold, yet three kings shall arise in Persia, and the fourth shall be enriched with great wealth beyond all, and after he has gained mastery over his wealth, he shall rise up against all the kingdoms of the Greeks.

And a mighty king shall arise, and he shall rule a great dominion, and he shall do according to his will

And as soon as his kingdom stands, it shall be shattered and divided to the four winds of heaven, and not to his latter ends nor according to his dominion which he ruled, because his kingdom shall be torn away and to others besides these.

And the king of the south shall be strengthened, and one of his princes shall strengthen against him and shall rule a great dominion over his authority.

And after his years they shall mingle, and the daughter of the king of the south shall enter to the king of the north to make treaties with him, and she shall not retain the strength of the arm, and his seed shall not stand, and she and those bringing her and the young woman and the one prevailing over her shall be given over in the times

And from a shoot from her root one prepared for him shall stand up, and he shall come against the power and shall enter into the strongholds of the king of the north and shall act against them and shall prevail

And even their gods, with their molten images, every desirable vessel of theirs of silver and of gold, with the captivity, he shall carry into Egypt, and he himself shall stand above the king of the north

And he shall enter into the kingdom of the king of the south and shall return into his land

And his sons shall gather a multitude of many forces, and he shall come, coming and overwhelming, and shall pass through and shall sit, and shall join battle until his strength is exhausted

And the king of the south shall be enraged and shall go out and shall fight with the king of the north, and he shall set up a great multitude, and the multitude shall be given into his hand.

And he will take away the multitude, and his heart will be exalted, and he will cast down myriads, but he will not prevail.

And the king of the north will return and will bring a very great multitude beyond the former one, and at the end of the times of years he will come, with supplies, in great power and with much goods

And in those times many will rise up against the king of the south, and the sons of the rest of your people will be lifted up to establish a vision, and they will fail.

And the king of the north shall come in and cast up a mound and shall seize fortified cities, and the arms of the king of the south shall not stand, and his chosen ones shall rise up, and there shall be no strength to stand

And he who enters against him will do according to his will, and there is no one standing before his face, and he will stand in the land of Sabi, and it will be brought to completion in his hand.

And he shall set his face to enter with the strength of all his kingdom, and he shall do all things straight with him, and he shall give him the daughter of women to corrupt her; and she shall by no means remain, and she shall not be for him.

And he shall turn his face toward the islands and shall seize many, and he shall put to rest the princes of their reproach; however, his reproach shall return to him.

And he shall turn his face toward the strength of his land, and he shall weaken and fall, and he shall not be found.

And there shall arise from his root a shoot of kingship, one compelling a tax collector through the preparation of him, doing glory of kingship; and in those days he shall be broken, and not in faces nor in war.

And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and they did not give to him the glory of a kingdom, and he shall come in prosperity and shall seize a kingdom by intrigues.

And the arms of the overflowing one shall be overflowed away from before him, and shall be broken, and the leader of the covenant

And from the alliances with him he will act deceitfully, and he will go up and prevail over him with a small people.

And in prosperity and in fat lands he shall come, and he shall do what his fathers and his fathers’ fathers did not do: plunder and spoils and property he shall scatter to them, and against Egypt he shall devise his plans, even until a time.

And his strength and his heart shall be stirred up against the king of the south with a great force, and the king of the south shall join battle with a very great and strong force exceedingly, and he shall not stand, because they shall devise plans against him.

And those who eat his provisions will break him, and forces will overwhelm, and many wounded will fall.

And both the kings, their hearts shall be for evil, and at one table they shall speak lies, and it shall not prosper, because still the end is for the time.

And he will return to his land with much wealth, and his heart against the holy covenant; and he will act and return to his land

At the time he shall return and come into the south, and it shall not be as the first and as the last.

For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be humbled, and he shall turn back and be enraged against the holy covenant, and he shall act, and he shall turn back and have regard to those who forsake the holy covenant

And forces from him shall arise and shall profane the sanctuary of the dominion, and they shall remove the continual offering and shall set up an abomination that makes desolate

And those acting lawlessly against the covenant will bring about with smooth words, and a people knowing his God will prevail and will act

And the understanding ones of the people shall understand for many things, and they shall be made weak by sword and by flame and by captivity and by plundering of days

And when they fail, they will be helped with a little help, and many will join themselves to them in slippery places

And from among the understanding ones, some will be weakened, in order to purify them and to choose and to be revealed, until the time of the end, because it is yet for the time.

And he shall do according to his will, and the king shall be exalted and magnified above every god, and he shall speak arrogant things and shall prosper until the wrath is completed; for it comes to completion.

And for all the gods of his fathers he shall not regard, and for the desire of women, and for every god he shall not regard, because over all he shall magnify himself.

And a god of strongholds he will glorify in his place, and a god whom his fathers did not know he will glorify with gold and silver and precious stone and with desirable things

And he shall act toward the strongholds of the refuges with a strange god, and he shall multiply glory, and he shall subject many to them, and he shall divide land by gifts

And at the end of the time he shall clash with the king of the south, and the king of the north shall be gathered against him with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships, and he shall enter into the land and shatter and pass through.

And he shall enter into the land of Sabee, and many shall become weak, and these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the chief of the sons of Ammon.

And he will stretch out his hand against the land, and the land of Egypt will not be for salvation.

And he shall rule over the hidden things of the gold and of the silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt and of the Libyans and of the Ethiopians, in their strongholds

And reports and haste shall disturb him from the east and from the north, and he shall come in great wrath to destroy and to devote many to destruction

And he will pitch his tent ephadano between the seas, on the holy mountain Sabie, and he will come as far as his portion, and there is none delivering him.
