4
And command the people, saying, You are passing through the borders of your brothers, the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, and they will fear you, and they will be very cautious of you.
7
For the Lord our God has blessed you in every work of your hands; recognize how you have gone through that great and fearful wilderness: behold, forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have not lacked anything.
8
And we passed by our brothers, the sons of Esau, who were dwelling in Seir, by the way of the Arabah, from Ailōn and from Gasiongaber; and turning aside, we passed by the wilderness way of Moab
9
And the Lord said to me, Do not fight against the Moabites, and do not join battle with them; for I will by no means give you any of their land as an inheritance, because I have given Seir to the sons of Lot to inherit.
12
And in Seir the Horite lived before, and the sons of Esau destroyed them and wore them out from before them, and they dwelt in their place, as Israel did to the land of his inheritance, which the Lord gave to them.
14
And the days that we journeyed from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed the Wadi Zared were thirty and eight years, until every generation of men of war had fallen, dying out from the camp, just as God had sworn to them.
19
And you shall come near the sons of Amman; do not be hostile to them and do not join with them in war, for I will by no means give from the land of the sons of Amman to you as an inheritance, because to the sons of Lot I have given it as an inheritance.
21
a great and many nation and mightier than you, as the Anakim, and the Lord destroyed them before their face, and they inherited and dwelt in their place, until this day
22
as they did to the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, in the way that they destroyed the Horite from before them, and they inherited and settled in their place, even to this day
24
Now therefore arise and depart and pass over the ravine of Arnon; behold, I have given into your hands Sihon king of Heshbon, the Amorite, and his land. Begin to possess it as an inheritance; join battle with him.
25
On this day I will begin to give your terror and your fear upon the face of all the nations under heaven, who, having heard your name, will be troubled and will have pangs because of your face.
30
And Sihon king of Heshbon was not willing to let us pass through him, because the Lord our God hardened his spirit and strengthened his heart, so that he might be given into your hands, as in this day.
36
From Aroer, which is by the edge of the torrent-bed of Arnon, and the city which was in the ravine, and as far as the mountain of Gilead, there was no city that escaped us; the Lord our God gave them all over into our hands.
