And Moses called all Israel and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the ordinances and the judgments that I speak in your ears on this day, and you shall learn them and keep to do them.
And I stood between the Lord and you at that time to declare to you the words of the Lord, because you feared from before the fire and did not go up onto the mountain, saying
You shall not make for yourself an idol nor any likeness, anything that is in the heaven above and anything that is on the earth below and anything that is in the waters beneath the earth
You shall not worship them, neither shall you ever serve them, because I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, repaying the sins of fathers upon children, upon the third and fourth generation to those who hate me
But on the seventh day there shall be sabbaths to the Lord your God; you shall not do in it any work, you and your sons and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, your ox and your beast of burden and all your cattle and the proselyte dwelling among you, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you
And you shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and with a high arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the day of the sabbaths and to sanctify it.
Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, so that it may be well with you and so that you may be long-lived on the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife; you shall not covet your neighbor’s house, nor his field, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any of his livestock, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.
These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly on the mountain from the midst of the fire, darkness, gloom, storm, a great voice, and he added no more; and he wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.
And it happened, when you heard the voice from the midst of the fire and the mountain was burning with fire, that all the leaders of your tribes and your elders came near to me.
And you were saying, Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory, and his voice we heard from the midst of the fire; on this day we saw that God will speak to a man, and he will live.
And now let us not die, because this great fire will consume us, if we ourselves add to hear the voice of the Lord our God still, then we shall also die.
Draw near, you and listen to whatever the Lord our God may say, and you shall speak to us all that the Lord our God may speak to you, and we will hear and do it.
And the Lord heard the voice of your words speaking to me, and the Lord said to me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, all that they have spoken to you; they have spoken rightly, all that they have spoken.
Who will grant that this their heart may be in them, so as to fear me and to keep all my commandments all the days, so that it may be well with them and with their sons forever
But you stand here with me, and I will speak to you the commandments and the ordinances and the judgments, as many as you shall teach them, and let them do them in the land which I am giving them as an inheritance.
in all the way which the Lord your God commanded you to walk in it, so that he may give you rest and that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the land which you will inherit
