And these are the ordinances and the judgments that you shall keep to do on the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving to you as an inheritance all the days that you live on the land.
You shall utterly destroy all the places in which they served there their gods, whom you are inheriting, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every leafy tree.
And you shall tear down their altars and crush their pillars and cut down their sacred groves and burn the carved images of their gods with fire, and their name shall perish from that place.
but only to the place which the Lord your God may choose in one of your tribes to call his name there, to be called upon, and you shall seek and go in there
And you shall bring there your whole burnt offerings and your sacrifices and your firstfruits and your vows and your voluntary offerings and the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep
And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and you shall rejoice over all to which you may put your hand, you and your households, because the Lord your God has blessed you.
And you shall cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies round about, and you shall dwell in security
And the place which the Lord your God shall choose for his name to be invoked there, there you shall bring all that I command you today: your whole burnt offerings and your sacrifices and your tithes and the firstfruits of your hands and your gifts and all the choice of your gifts, whatever you may vow to your God
And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male servants and your female servants, and the Levite who is in your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
but only in the place which the Lord your God may choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your whole burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I am commanding you today
Nevertheless, in all the desire of your soul you may slaughter and eat meat according to the blessing of the Lord your God which he has given you in every city; the unclean in you and the clean together shall eat it, as a gazelle or a deer.
You shall not be able to eat within your cities the tithe of your grain and of your wine and of your oil, the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep, and all vows that you may vow and your confessions and the firstfruits of your hands
but before the Lord your God you shall eat them in the place which the Lord your God may choose for himself, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the stranger who is in your cities, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God in all that you put your hand to
But if the Lord your God enlarges your borders, as he spoke to you, and you say, I will eat meat, if your soul desires to eat meat, according to all the desire of your soul you shall eat meat
But if the place which the Lord your God shall choose to have his name called there is farther from you, then you shall sacrifice from your cattle and from your sheep which God gives you, as I commanded you, and you shall eat in your cities according to the desire of your soul.
You shall not eat it, so that it may go well with you and with your sons after you, if you do what is good and what is pleasing before the Lord your God.
Only your holy things that are yours, and taking your vows you shall come to the place which the Lord your God may choose for his name to be called there
And you shall do your burnt offerings; the flesh you shall pour out upon the altar of the Lord your God, and the blood of your sacrifices you shall pour out beside the base of the altar of the Lord your God, and the flesh you shall eat
Take heed and listen and you shall do all the words which I command you, so that it may be well with you and with your sons forever, if you do what is good and pleasing before the Lord your God
But if the Lord your God destroys the nations into which you go there to inherit their land from before you, and you inherit them and dwell in their land
Take heed to yourself, lest you seek to follow after them, after they have been destroyed from before your face; you shall by no means seek their gods, saying, How do these nations do to their gods? I also will do so.
You shall not do so to the Lord your God, for they did the abominations which the Lord hated for their gods, because they burn their sons and their daughters in fire to their gods.
