And if the Lord your God destroys the nations whom your God is giving you their land, and you inherit them and dwell in their cities and in their houses

you shall set apart for yourself three cities in the midst of your land, which the Lord your God is giving you

You shall prepare for yourself the way, and you shall divide into three parts the boundaries of your land which the Lord your God is apportioning to you, and there shall be a refuge there for every manslayer

And this shall be the ordinance for the manslayer who shall flee there and live, who shall strike his neighbor unintentionally, and this one not hating him before yesterday and before the third day.

And if anyone enters with his neighbor into the forest to gather wood, and his hand is swung back with the ax while cutting the wood, and the iron slips from the wood and happens to strike his neighbor, and he dies, this one shall flee to one of these cities and shall live.

so that the avenger of blood may not pursue the murderer, because his heart has been heated, and overtake him, if the way is longer, and strike his life, and he die; and for this one there is no sentence of death, because he was not hating him before yesterday and before the third day

Therefore I command you this word, saying, You shall set apart three cities for yourself

And if the Lord your God should enlarge your borders, as he swore to your fathers, and the Lord should give to you all the land which he said to give to your fathers

if you hear to do all these commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways all the days, then you shall add to yourself yet three cities to these three ones

and innocent blood shall not be shed in your land which the Lord your God is giving you by lot, and bloodguilt shall not be in you

But if a man hating his neighbor lies in wait for him and rises up against him and strikes his life so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities,

then the elders of his city shall send and take him from there and deliver him into the hand of the one avenging the blood, and he shall die

Your eye shall not spare him, and you shall cleanse the innocent blood from Israel, and it shall be well with you

You shall not move the boundaries of your neighbor, which your fathers set in your inheritance, with which you were inherited in the land which the Lord your God gives to you by lot

A single witness shall not stand to testify against a man concerning any injustice and concerning any sin and concerning any sin which he may sin; by the mouth of two witnesses and by the mouth of three witnesses every matter shall be established.

But if an unrighteous witness rises up against a man, accusing him of impiety.

and the two men between whom is the dispute shall stand before the Lord and before the priests and before the judges who may be in those days

and the judges shall investigate accurately, and behold, an unjust witness has borne unjust witness; he has stood against his brother

and you shall do to him just as he plotted to do against his brother, and you shall remove the evil one from among yourselves

And the others, having heard, shall fear, and they shall no longer continue to do according to this evil thing among you.

Your eye shall not pity him: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot
