Deuteronomy 19

And this shall be the ordinance for the manslayer who shall flee there and live, who shall strike his neighbor unintentionally, and this one not hating him before yesterday and before the third day.

And if anyone enters with his neighbor into the forest to gather wood, and his hand is swung back with the ax while cutting the wood, and the iron slips from the wood and happens to strike his neighbor, and he dies, this one shall flee to one of these cities and shall live.

so that the avenger of blood may not pursue the murderer, because his heart has been heated, and overtake him, if the way is longer, and strike his life, and he die; and for this one there is no sentence of death, because he was not hating him before yesterday and before the third day

if you hear to do all these commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways all the days, then you shall add to yourself yet three cities to these three ones

A single witness shall not stand to testify against a man concerning any injustice and concerning any sin and concerning any sin which he may sin; by the mouth of two witnesses and by the mouth of three witnesses every matter shall be established.
