And Moses called all the sons of Israel and said to them, You have seen all that the Lord did in the land of Egypt before your eyes, to Pharaoh and to his attendants and to all his land.

the great trials which your eyes have seen, those great signs and wonders there

and the Lord your God did not give you a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear until this day

And he led you forty years in the wilderness; your garments were not worn out, and your sandals were not worn away from your feet.

You did not eat bread and you did not drink wine and strong drink, in order that you might know that this is the Lord your God.

And you came to this place, and Sihon king of Heshbon and Og king of Bashan came out to meet us in war, and we struck them

And we took their land and gave it as an allotment to Reuben and to Gad and to the half-tribe of Manasseh

And you shall keep to do all the words of this covenant, so that you may understand all that you will do.

You are all standing today before the Lord your God, your chiefs, and your elders, and your judges, and your officers, every man of Israel

your women and your offspring and the sojourner who is in the midst of your camp, from your woodcutter and even to your waterdrawer

to enter into the covenant of the Lord your God and into his curses, which the Lord your God is making with you today

so that he may establish you for himself as a people, and he himself will be your God, as he said to you and as he swore to your fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob

And not with you alone do I make this covenant and this curse

but also to those who are here with us today before the Lord your God, and to those who are not here with us today

for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt and how we passed through among the nations whom you passed through

and you saw their abominations and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which are among them

lest there be among you a man or a woman or a family or a tribe, whose mind has turned aside from the Lord your God, to go and serve the gods of those nations, lest there be among you a root springing up in bitterness and gall

And it shall be, if he hears the words of this curse and blesses himself in his heart, saying, Peace be to me, because in the wandering of my heart I shall walk, so that the sinner may not destroy the sinless one.

God will by no means be willing to be gracious to him, but then the wrath of the Lord will be kindled and his jealousy against that man, and all the curses of this covenant written in the book of this law will cling to him, and the Lord will blot out his name from under heaven.

and the Lord shall separate him for evils out of all the sons of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant, those written in the book of this law

And the later generation, your sons who shall rise up after you, and the stranger who may come from a land far away, will say, and they will see the plagues of that land and its diseases which the Lord sent upon it

brimstone and salt, all its land shall not be sown, nor shall it sprout, nor shall any green thing surely come up on it, as Sodom and Gomorrah, Adama and Seboim were overthrown, which the Lord overthrew in anger and wrath

And all the nations shall say, Why did the Lord do thus to this land? What is this great wrath of anger?

And they will say, Because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with their fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

and going they served other gods and bowed down to them, whom they did not know, nor did he allot to them

And the Lord was angry with wrath against that land, to bring upon it all the curses written in the book of this law

and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger and wrath and very great provocation, and cast them into another land, as it is now

The hidden things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, to do all the words of this law.
